We are very excited to announce that we are bringing on One Up Training to work on our strength and conditioning outside of the pool. We have identified that this is a piece of the program that needed a little attention. One Up Training will be with us the first week of practice.
ONE UP TRAINING
One up Training is a mobile Strength and Conditioning company that is dedicated to providing the training and tools necessary to not only enhance athletic performance, but most importantly, lower the risk of injury that today’s young athletes face. Injury rates among young athletes are at an all-time high showing no signs of receding. One of the few proven methods to reduce risk of injury AND improve athletic performance is to make sure that the body is strengthened and trained in a way that prepares it for the intense and rigorous demands of year-round competition. In our sessions, our expert coaches will provide top-notch training principles and only the latest and most recent techniques related to strengthening the entire body–starting with a heavy emphasis on core muscles–the foundation of any athletic movement. This functional, yet practical, approach to training will ensure that our athletes are better prepared for their athletic experience.
HOLLY TAMM, owner
Holly has an MS and BS in Kinesiology with a special emphasis on psychology and physiology of sport and exercise from UW-Milwaukee. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). Accomplishments by teams/individuals that have been trained by her include dozens of Sectional Final appearances, numerous State Tournament/Meet appearances, and 1 State Champion. As a former Division I Basketball Player, she developed a fierce passion for working hard and competing to the best of your ability. She has taken her experiences as an athlete and has turned that into a successful training and coaching career.
